Wagtail Space returns, online and open to all

Wagtail Space returns in October, and this year it’s online, so you can join from anywhere in the world. This much-loved community event is for anyone working with (or just curious about) Wagtail CMS.

Whether you’re a developer, content professional, designer, product manager, or digital leader, come along to share ideas, learn something new, and help shape where the project goes next.

Wagtail Space 2025

Over the years, Wagtail Space has been hosted in various locations, including Arnhem, Philadelphia, and Cleveland. This time, it will be hosted as a Zoom Event.

Submit a talk

The call for speakers is now open and closes on the 15th August. If you’ve worked with Wagtail in any way, whether on a small experiment or a major project, there’s every chance others could learn from your experience.

You don’t need a polished case study or slick tech demo. Some of the best talks come from people simply sharing what they’re exploring, what’s worked (or not), and what they’ve learned along the way.

Here are a few topics we’d love to hear about:

  • Accessibility, security, performance, sustainability best practices
  • Editorial workflows, content strategy, and governance insights
  • Creating sites and apps with Wagtail: what works, what doesn’t
  • Content design and UX/UI lessons
  • AI + Wagtail - where it fits and where it’s heading
  • Modern Wagtail/Django/Python workflows
  • Content and open source community stories
  • Impact stories from people using Wagtail in the wild

Talks are 25 minutes long and can be delivered live or pre-recorded, whatever works best for you. Have a browse through previous events - there are lots of great sessions to spark ideas.
