Iona Twiston Davies
I help charities raise money, reach new supporters, find volunteers and event participants, and promote their services to people who need them. I do this by advising on digital marketing strategies that provide them with the most value for money, auditing organic social media, and heading up teams who plan and run paid media campaigns.
I've worked with Mind, Girlguiding, Guy's and St Thomas, Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Practical Action, Freedom from Torture, and many more. Some of my favourite projects have been reviewing how people in different countries interact with campaigning social media, researching how young people talk about mental health online, and exploring new answers to the age-old question, "How do we stop being so reliant on Facebook?"
I consider myself a big-picture thinker, which is why I love creating long-term strategies or conducting broad audits of digital marketing activity.
Diversity and inclusion are very important to me, and I'm part of the D&I voice group at Torchbox. I'm a new parent, so outside of work, you'll mostly find me chasing around a toddler. Otherwise, in my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing books about dragons.
