A distinctive new design for an inspirational art school
Royal Drawing School
Overview
The Royal Drawing School is a cool, inspirational place (it's got us drawing more and encouraging our families to draw as well). We wanted to do justice to this fantastic institution without resorting to flashiness, and I think we’ve achieved that.
The site mixes quiet restraint with splashes of bold colour, and showcases thousands of stunning drawings alongside the profiles of hundreds of staff, students and alumni. And, it builds successfully on the lovely, new branding work by John Morgan Studio with its distinctive, custom version of Monokrom's Vinter typeface.
Bringing the art experience to life
Best of all, however, it brings the experience of the school and the opportunities it offers to life and makes it easy to join in. Whether it be the one year drawing master’s, one of the many public courses offered at five studios around London (and out and about: Drawing at the National Gallery next week, anyone?), or the programmes for children, it’s now much easier to find what you want - whatever device you access the site on (obviously).

We very much wanted to work with the school and were very happy to have won through the pitch process (in no small part thanks to our experience and work with the Royal College of Art). We're very proud of what we have delivered.
