I lead the technical delivery of client projects, writing and maintaining good quality code that meets real user needs.

Since joining Torchbox, I’ve worked with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Resources for the Future, and The National Archives. I also implemented the technical side of Sonar, an AI-powered interview bot currently helping to scale user research in the NHS.

Before joining Torchbox, I worked at several start-ups, specialising in drones and drone data analytics. I’ve built a real-time drone data visualisation platform, a network simulation tool for testing data transmission in poor connectivity, and a cloud photogrammetry pipeline capable of processing much larger volumes of data than existing alternatives at the time.

I’ve worked extensively with GIS tools and mapping technologies, using OpenGL and WebGL to project aerial imagery, creating custom data visualisations, and recreating powerful desktop GIS functionality for the web.

Alongside client work, I contribute to a variety of internal tools as a full-stack developer. My first Torchbox contribution was to our internal Wagtail starter kit, and I’ve recently added Slack notification capability to our intranet.

Outside of work, I’m slowly making the leap from fiction books to non-fiction (with mixed success). I love video games and board games, and I also play the drums, even though I’m a couple of years out of practice. I’m also mildly obsessed with Neovim and tiling window managers, and always on the lookout for ways to personalise and improve my workflow.
