Sophie Ellis

In the current climate and with budgets getting tighter, I work to help nonprofits discover, define, capture, and understand their KPIs and metrics. These go towards improving their efficacy and empower them to share their real impact with the world.
I am a huge believer in the potential of digital tools to transform organisations. By using tools like GA4, I believe all nonprofits can and should push boundaries to maximise their impact for the causes they serve. Currently, I'm working with four fantastic clients: Action for Children, Motor Neurone Disease Association, Women's Aid and Sue Ryder.
I have always worked in the charity sector, starting my career in events at Beacon for Rare Diseases, before moving into a Digital Engagement role at Woodgreen Pets Charity. Through both of these roles, I discovered my love for all things data and analytics, auditing containers, tracking new features and pulling reports.
However, my roles have always been much broader than just analytics. I’ve also worked on SEO, website management, CRO, building custom workflow solutions in Monday.com and Zapier, and more. These experiences serve me well to step back and see the bigger picture and context of the data I’m looking at.
My original career aspiration was to become a vet, but partway through my degree, despite my immense and continued passion for animals, I decided to pursue an alternate career - so please don’t ask me for any veterinary advice!
I spend most of my free time practicing and performing classical music, singing in various choirs and operas, and playing the French Horn and piano. I love visiting National Trust properties or the theatre with my partner, Finn, and we have a cat called Bella, who very much enjoys client calls!
