Victoria Chan

I build, customise and maintain Wagtail and Django websites and bespoke applications with backend code.

I have provided support for NHSI, Tate, Buckinghamshire City Council and Wharton Interactive.

I’m a creative person, and try to apply my creativity to problem solving and coding. You wouldn't think there is room for creativity in coding, but there is often more than one way to do something, and like with art, a beautiful solution gives joy.

Growing up in Singapore internet access wasn't common until I was in my 20s. I remember the magic of being connected for the first time, and my first 'personal homepage'. Even today, the internet still holds that magic for me. I love making things for the internet, and building up this fantastic virtual world.

I started art and printmaking while on maternity leave 4 years ago, and it has grown to become a life passion. I have an Etsy shop where I sell my prints, The Dining Table Studio. I am also the founder of a Facebook Group, Printhackers, with 2.7K members and growing! I'm a strong believer of the growth mindset; I love learning new skills and I want to spread this passion.
