Lara Thompson

Graduate Junior Developer
Lara Thompson

Lara discovered her passion for software development in the first Covid-19 Lockdown, when she undertook a bootcamp and collaborated with other members of the course to design and build projects using JavaScript, React and Python.

Lara holds a degree in Physiological Science from the University of Bristol and previously worked in a primary school, volunteered at a refugee camp teaching English in Athens, and interned for the UN’s Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs analysing data. She’s also currently a mentor at Code Your Future, supporting three students.

Outside of Lara’s volunteering and coding, she loves pottery, scuba diving, travelling, and is currently teaching herself the saxophone (cautiously, though, as she previously fainted mid-song!).
