We are looking for a Service Designer to join our team!

Total remuneration package: £51,411 to £80,133 per annum, pro rata.**

You’ll play a key role in producing high quality digital solutions to real world problems for clients, helping them to improve the user experience of their products and services.  You’ll help our clients understand their current services, and how they can be improved, to deliver high quality, intuitive services for their users.

You’ll have a deep understanding of structuring effective end-to-end user-led services and some understanding of associated disciplines such as user research and interaction design. You’ll use your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to help shape our UX team’s direction, and deepen our wider team’s understanding and practice of effective service design. 

You will be joining a UX team where you will have the opportunity to make a big impact. We are looking for individuals with initiative that will help drive our UX expertise both on projects, within the team and externally with our marketing team. One day you might be working on shaping a programme of work for our next exciting project, another you’ll be helping a delivery team work out the best way to solve complex user needs and mapping an innovative future service landscape.

Our Service Designers have the following skills:

  • Significant experience in service design

  • Someone who can identify the simplest way to solve a complex user problem

  • Experience designing services which are consistent across multiple channels

  • Experience mapping complicated ‘as-is’ journeys, and shaping improved ‘to-be’ services which meet users needs

  • Ability to develop process flows and wireframes to conceptualise and communicate design strategies

  • Experience with service design in a public sector or GOV.UK context is desirable, but not essential

  • Someone who loves to shape and facilitate workshops and design sprints

  • A strong communicator, both verbal and written

  • Experience working in an agile environment

  • Experience of collaborating in a multidisciplinary team

  • An aptitude for translating research insights into design opportunities

  • Some experience with prototyping tools such as Sketch and Figma

**This is made up of a base salary £41,575 - £66,550 and a bonus of £9,836 - £13,583. The bonus comprises a (tax free!) £3.6k EOT bonus and a company performance bonus. The bonus is paid in two tranches. The company bonus can be higher or lower based on company performance.
