About us:

Torchbox is the digital partner for many of the best, most progressive organisations in the world. We’ve become the digital marketing specialists for many of the biggest charities in the UK; we build digital products for international NGOs, governments and universities; and we created the Wagtail CMS, used by Google, NASA, the NHS and thousands more.

This is a great time to join us. We were the first digital agency to become a 100% Employee Owned Trust, and became financially independent in July this year. This frees us to invest all our profits into our employees and make a positive impact on society.

We are looking for a Senior Web Analyst  to join our team!

As a Senior Web Analyst you'll work as part of the Digital Marketing team to help our clients define, establish, implement and measure their data insight requirements in support of decision making and planning.  You'll be responsible for pushing the visibility of data within Torchbox, playing a part in ingraining measurement into our web builds and digital marketing. You'll support the direction of Torchbox's analytics work and mentor other analysts within the team. You'll develop reporting frameworks and white label features (dashboards, audit templates), and you'll pioneer and trial new tools to make theDigital Marketing team more efficient, and better, at reporting.  You'll support the team in delivering improvements to our service, contributing your expertise to decision making when applicable.

You’ll sit as part of a team of data-obsessed analysts who all have a passion for high quality data collection, visualisation, and analysis. You’ll be someone who knows where to look for the latest digital news and announcements. You’ll have experience working in an environment that requires you to manage your own workload and handle competing deadlines.  So if you are data-focused and have a passion for charities and nonprofits we’d love to hear from you.

Our Senior Web Analyst  have the following skills:

  • You will be an advanced Google Analytics 4 user, having proven experience building data layers, event tracking and complex ecommerce tracking.

  • At least five years working in a Google Analytics-centric role. You will currently be in a role where you use this tool every day.

  • You will be an expert user of Google Tag Manager. You'll have gone beyond GTM's inbuilt functionality, bringing in to play your own coding skills to bring custom HTML and javascript tags to life. You will be extremely comfortable setting up e-commerce tracking on a range of different payment platforms.

  • An excellent working knowledge of data visualisation tools, such as Looker Studio, is essential.

  • Proven experience mentoring other people in your team.

  • Outstanding attention-to-detail.

  • Agency and / or charity experience.

  • Experience working within a digital marketing environment—a good understanding of pay-per-click (PPC), search engine optimisation (SEO) and paid social media management is desirable.

  • A working understanding of the Google Analytics API. You’ll be comfortable querying data outside of the Google Analytics interface using plugins or data connectors.

  • Keen interest in conversion rate optimisation best practice and a desire to help develop our CRO offering.

What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to be a co-owner of Torchbox, shaping and sharing in our success. Be a partner, not just an employee. Our Voice Groups provide the chance to share your vision within Torchbox.

  • The chance to work with our brilliant clients, making the world a better place.

  • Competitive salary with annual review with annual employee owners and performance bonus.

  • Training and conference budget to accelerate your development.

  • Flexible working hours; the option to work fully remotely, split your time between .office and home, or choose to be in one of our offices fulltime, enabling you to work in a flexible way that best suits your needs.
