For two years running we have been awarded places in the Top 100 Best Companies list. We're delighted to receive this recognition as we pride ourselves on ensuring Torchbox is a great place to work. We are privileged enough to work with clients who want to make the world a better place and luckily our 80 strong team share this ethos too.
Recognition for this achievement is made even better by the fact it's an award voted for by our employees. We conduct regular anonymous surveys in an effort to ensure our employees have a voice and a safe place to air any concerns. Our employees also benefit from a good pension scheme, private healthcare and profit related bonuses.
The Drum 2021 Chair Award
In 2021 we were lucky enough not just to win the Drum Digital Advertising Award in the non profit sector for our work with Islamic Relief UK but also to go on to win the prestigious Chair Award. The Chair Award is a special accolade given to a finalist that marks 'the best of the show' for the judging panel's chairperson.
In a difficult year for nonprofits, we helped Islamic Relief UK use digital marketing channels to raise vital funds. In 2020 Ramadan fell just one month after the UK went into full lockdown and we had a goal of raising £2.5m despite the localised challenges caused by the pandemic. However, the team were able to reach hearts and minds through great optimisation skills and effective use of a whole range of digital channels – YouTube, social, search – and yield a really strong outcome, to the tune of £6.9m!
We are overjoyed by this outcome and couldn't be more elated for Islamic Relief UK who continue to do great work helping people and communities impacted by natural disaster and living in warzones, including drought and famine-struck countries across East Africa and communities affected by conflict in Yemen.
This win is a reflection of two things. Firstly, of our relationship with the amazing team at Islamic Relief UK. This award is as much ours as it is theirs—an awesome team doing life-saving work on the ground in the toughest places in the world. Secondly, of the work the whole Torchbox team do day in, day out, to help nonprofits amplify, and engage audiences with, vital services and support. Winners at UK Search Awards
We couldn't be more proud to have been awarded best use of social media in a search campaign at the UK Search Awards for our work with Breast Cancer Now. The paid social campaign was designed to encourage people to host afternoon tea parties and fundraise for the charity.
2018 was a record breaking year for Afternoon Tea fundraising and then 2019 blew these figures out the water again.
In 2020 we won the best use of search in the third sector with our work for Islamic Relief UK and were finalists for the best small PPC agency award.
