On November 25th, we are opening a new office in Cambridge to add to our offices in Oxford and Bristol.

It’s a fantastic way for us to end a year in which we have seen exciting growth in the UK and the US, become the first 100% employee-owned digital agency and been shortlisted for Digital Agency of the Year in the Drum Awards.

Nicknamed Silicon Fen for its thriving tech scene, Cambridge’s knowledge-intensive industries employ 61,000 people and turnover close to $15bn. The city is responsible for 16 ‘unicorns’ - start-ups worth more than $1bn - as well as the voice recognition software behind Siri and Alexa, Bluetooth, and the world’s top-selling drug, Humira.

We’ve found a great location in the Allia Future Business Centre, ‘the home for social innovation and tech for good’. Allia is an interesting organisation, well-aligned with Torchbox, that supports entrepreneurs, charities and impact organisations and connects them with ethical investors.

With two of our developers and Wagtail contributors moving to the area, it made for an easy decision to set up shop in this exciting part of the country. We look forward to growing Torchbox and Wagtail’s presence in the tech community as well as building links with the university.

If you're interested in finding out about how we can help you achieve more, or want to work with us. Please get in touch. Roll on 2020 in Cambridge!
