British Swimming is the governing body for swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo, and open water swimming in Great Britain, responsible for elite performance and competitive swimming to international level.

Its aim is to support British athletes to win gold medals at the major championships: the World Championships; the Commonwealth Games; and, this year in Rio, the Olympics and Paralympics.

At the end of March 2016 we launched the new British Swimming website on Wagtail. Sporting a modern responsive design, the new website showcases the depth and breadth of British talent across the different disciplines with athlete profiles like those of triple world champion, Adam Peaty, and quadruple world para-swimming champion, Tully Kearney.

Many of these world-class athletes are competing in the British Swimming Championships 2016 which started today at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow where – in addition to national titles – qualification for the Olympic, Paralympic, European and European Junior teams is at stake.

We’re proud to play a role in supporting our elite athletes and the important work of British Swimming and, like many other fans of the sport, we’ll be following all the action from the Championships this week on the live stream.
